Reporting your child's absence

Medical Absence

To report an illness on the day, please use the Arbor app or Portal to log the absence by 09.15am.  If your child is ill for more than one day, please update the Arbor app or Portal each day to confirm your child's absence.

If your child is absent frequently because of illness, the school may ask for medical guidance to make sure the right support is given.

A truancy call will be sent upon any unknown student absence.

Based upon the Public Health Agency guidelines, students who have experienced vomiting and/or diarrhoea should be kept away from school for 48 hours from their last episode. Please notify the school each day to confirm your child's absence.

Medical or Dental Appointments

To report a medical or dental appointment on the day, please use the Arbor app or portal.  For all other absences, wherever possible, please inform the school in advance by emailing absent@st-peters.surrey.sch.uk (Years 7-11 only – for Sixth Form, see below).

All students in Years 7-11 must sign in and out of School Reception for health and safety purposes.  Sixth Form students must sign in and out on the iPad in Sixth Form.
