St Peter’s students are celebrating another successful year of A Levels and BTECs. A quarter of students received straight A*s and As. 18% of all grades awarded were A* and 73% of grades were A*-B. Mrs Rana-Brown, Head of Sixth Form, was thrilled saying, “We are immensely proud of this year group. They have worked really hard and deserve every success they’ve received today. They are an ambitious cohort proven by 51% of them are going to Russell Group universities, which is excellent!”

We are also particularly proud to report on how well the increasing number of students who join St Peter’s Sixth Form from other schools have achieved. 78% of external students achieved straight A*-B and a quarter achieved straight A*-A.

Mr Steady, Head of Year 13, said, “I am immensely proud of our Year 13 students for their outstanding results this year.  This is a testament to their consistent hard work and positive attitude over the past two years. It is amazing to see our external students settle in so well at St Peter's and excel in their A Level and BTECs.”

Mr Miller, Headteacher, said, “It was wonderful to see so many happy young people as they opened their results and were able to celebrate the end of a long journey to get to this point.  It’s an immensely proud moment for us as a school for them to achieve their goals and look forward to the next stage which for most is university study.  The year group worked incredibly hard and supported each other throughout.  To be successful with A Levels and Vocational Qualifications is tough and requires persistence and rigour from the very start of the course.  This cohort embraced that challenge and has reaped the rewards this summer.  I would also like to pay tribute to the subject teachers and Sixth Form team who have challenged them to be their very best but supported them 100% which is the combination that works well at St Peter’s.  Thanks to all our wonderful parents for their support behind the scenes and for trusting us to do the right thing for their children.  We wish all the youngsters the very best as they embark on their next adventure – well done!”
