Duke of Edinburgh
From Year 10, students may begin work on the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
It has become so popular that the vast majority of Year 10 students achieve the Bronze Award (usually including a Surrey Hills expedition) and several go on to the Silver Award (a two night expedition which is further afield in Exmoor). Information will be sent out in the autumn term to all students.
For the first time, 16 Year 13 students will be participating in their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Final Expedition in Snowdonia in July 2017 and a further 19 Year 12 students will be taking their Gold practice at the same time. We wish them all good luck!
On the 1st June 2016, St Peter’s became a directly licensed centre for the Duke of Edinburgh.
