Congratulations to the Year 9 football team who beat Cobham Free School 7 – 0 to progress to the next round in the Surrey Schools competition!
Last night, in the pouring rain, the PE Department took a combination of Year 11 and Year 10 students to a tournament at Guildford Rugby Club.
Although the event came very early in the term and without any time to practise together, this did not hinder their performance nor motivation to succeed!
With a bare 15, the team took on George Abbot, Guildford County and Rodborough and won each match!
Mr Sabiston, Head of PE, said "The students were immense, performed to the highest levels and conducted themselves in a way that the whole school would be proud of."
We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II and in recognition of the national mourning period, we have decided to postpone the 75th anniversary celebrations on Saturday 17th September 2022. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause and will publish the new date in due course.
We look forward to welcoming back all of our students next week as follows:
Please ensure your child has the correct uniform and equipment on their first day and they arrive by 8:45am.
St Peter’s have celebrated outstanding GCSE results today with students who are delighted with their achievements and affirmation of their hard work over the last three years.
Similar to the A Level results, the school has bucked the national trend and are stronger than summer 2021, when centre assessed grades were adopted. 95% of students gained 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above and 82% gained 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above. 58% of all entries are grade 9-7.
We would like to pay tribute to all of our staff who supported the students throughout the last five years, as well as the parents who have shared the anxiety and pressure whilst remaining calm. However, special note must be given to the students; their fabulous talents and sheer hard work have enabled them to be awarded the grades they deserve.
The progress made across the year group has been excellent and there were many standout results in terms of both high attainment and significant progress made by all ability ranges. Students who achieved 10 or more grade 8 or 9s include Ryan A, Louis B, Charlotte C, Trinity C, Gabriella D, Elena E, Martha F, Arthur F, Gabrielle G, Lisa H, Phoebe H, Leonorah I, Katy S and Riccia M.
Headteacher, Toby Miller said “I am immensely proud of every single student who embraced continual change throughout their GCSE years and achieved their hard-earned grades. They engaged well with a rigorous process post pandemic and have shown resilience and perseverance throughout the most challenging of times in education. We wish them all the very best for their future.”
In closing, we would like to congratulate all our Year 11 students and it will be a delight to welcome many of them back into St Peter’s Sixth Form in September and see them start the next stage of their journey.

Dear current, former and prospective St Peter's families and alumni
I am delighted to invite you to the St Peter’s 75th anniversary celebration to commemorate the founding of our school by Archbishop Amigo in 1947. Over the years, the school has expanded and we would like to take this opportunity to open our doors and share this historical moment with a fun family afternoon.
