  • GCSE Exam Success

    Published 21/08/19

Students were celebrating wonderful results as they opened their GCSE envelopes this morning at St Peter’s.  The dedication and resilience of this year group paid off with some exceptional performances.  Core subjects saw 68% of students achieve a grade 5 or above in English and Maths and 87% achieve a grade 4 or above in English and Maths.  We’d like to congratulate all students on their success and also their parent’s for the support during the last two years.  Headteacher, Toby Miller said “I am in awe of the focus and positive attitude the students gave to their exams this year.  With the pressure of new specifications, tougher exams and no coursework in all but a few subjects it really does come down to the final exams for the youngsters.  I’d like to thank all of our staff at St Peter’s for their endless caring and support for every student.”

Some top performances from Sophia Kapsalis who achieved 10 grades 9’s, Vasco Ferreira who achieved 9 grade 9’s, Keeley Cottam with 8 grade 9’s and many students who achieved excellent grades including those who achieved 8 or more grades at 7-9 level: Calum Anderson, Roc Axtell, Xander Bailey, Marysia Bankowska, Francesca Bowden, Fintan Cluskey, Freya Collins, Claire Davis, Oscar Ferenczy, Jessica Findley, Emily Fowler, Maya Fulford, Isabella Garcia Rodriguez, Megan Gerold, Piotr, Grabkowski, Gabriel Harrison, Laura Hegg, Jack Humphries, Josh Ingham, Emma Keena, Larissa, Levick, Earl Magaway, Nicole Misud, Isla Miller, Luke Milner, Abi Murphy, Tamuka Mushati, Linnea Roberts, Mary Taylor, David Van Graan and Ellen Young.  There were also many students who achieved well beyond their predications at all levels and we applaud them all.  We would like to wish our students all the best for the future.
