Today, the St Peter’s community - students, staff, and families - came together in gratitude and celebration as our Year 11 students received their GCSE results. These outcomes are a testament not only to the students’ dedication and resilience but also to the strength of our shared faith, the support of our school family and our Catholic mission to nurture every child.
St Peter’s students are celebrating another successful year of A Levels and BTECs. This year is record-breaking with a quarter of students receiving straight As and A*s. In total, 51% of the grades awarded were A*-A, with 23% of all grades being an A*. 74% of the grades were A*-B. As a school, we couldn’t be prouder of our students and we are glad to see their hard work pay off.
Mrs Rana-Brown, Head of Sixth Form, was thrilled! She commented, "I am so proud of this year group. They have proven that dedication and hard work pays off. We will really miss them next year but wish them well as they get ready for their next steps – 42% of them are going to Russell Group universities, which is excellent.”
At some point in your child’s journey at St Peter’s, they may require support to maintain their wellbeing. The Pastoral Support Team (PST) is a dedicated group of staff who oversee all elements of pastoral care at the school.

Following our Catholic School’s inspection at the beginning of May 2025, I would like to share with you the outcome and report issued by the Catholic Schools Inspectorate on behalf of the Bishop of the Diocese Arundel and Brighton.
The inspection covers three main areas: Catholic Life and Mission, Religious Education and Collective Worship that contribute to an overall effectiveness grade for the quality of Catholic education provided by the school. I am delighted to announce that we received a grade 1 (outstanding) for every subcategory resulting in an outstanding judgement for overall effectiveness.
Clearly, this is great news for our school, for the community and for the quality of Catholic education in the area. I would like to thank and pay tribute to all of our staff for their dedication in delivering the outcomes stated above.
Special thanks go to our RE team and Chaplaincy, led by Tom Sellars. Thank you to all families for your ongoing support for the school, your child and the partnership we enjoy. Finally, thank you to all our young people who we all devote so much time and energy too, but who make the community at St Peter’s the special place it is to study, work and pray.
Whilst we are very proud of the outcome, we always endeavour to pursue our mission to be ‘Christ to all’ and ensure your children receive the very best experience now and in the future.
God bless.
