Academic Excellence

The Year 13 students at St Peter’s should be very proud of their achievements this summer.

After a turbulent two years, the students had lots to celebrate with some record-breaking results, going way beyond the national trend and even improving on last year’s results. We are incredibly proud of every student who has worked extremely hard during their studies and shown true resilience and determination to overcome the many unique challenges they have faced.

Over 60% of A Level grades are A* and A with a similar proportion in the BTEC qualifications. Across the board, over 87% of grades were A* to B - this is a phenomenal accomplishment! A special mention should go to Anjali who is going to study Medicine at Oxford, Thomas is reading Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford and Ethan is heading to Cambridge to study Natural Science. Other students to note include Isabel and Emily who are going to study Medicine, Jessica, Poppy and Ciara gaining places in competitive Nursing courses and Eleanor studying Paramedic Science.

Nine students were awarded straight A* grades (Bryony, Eleanor, Luke, Thomas, Charlie, Jasmine, Gabriel, Keisha and Ethan). There were a further thirty-one students achieving A* and A grades in all their subjects. Other students who achieved excellent grades include Jericho, Lara, Stephen, Lucas, Imogen, Manuela, Juliette, Aaron, Alex, Marianne, Harry, Freya, Harry, Oliwia, Reiss and Fergus. We are incredibly proud of every single one of our students and within the joy of these results, there are many stories where students have overcome adversity or personal challenges, which make the accomplishments even more special.

While all the students have achieved their grades on their own merits and hard work, a significant acknowledgement should be made to the teachers and staff of St Peter’s who have supported and encouraged the students through some difficult circumstances, ensuring that they maintain high standards, while sustaining a motivation and a passion for their subject. We are also sincerely grateful for all the commitment and love from the parents that has gone into supporting, encouraging and nurturing their young people as well as the encouragement that they have given the school.

It is incredibly exciting to see another fantastic group of young people leave St Peter’s and start a new chapter. We wish them all the very best for the future.
