These departments also contribute to whole school improvement by developing innovative approaches to teaching and learning and sharing good practice across the curriculum, particularly between the specialist subjects themselves.
St Peter’s, via the Outreach Programme, is an active partner in a learning society with our local family of schools and their communities, where we offer opportunities for enriching and extending learning experiences. This includes sharing resources and good practice.
As a Technology College St Peter’s has agreed to promote an educational culture which is scientific, technological, enterprising and vocational. We are also committed to raising the post-16 participation rate in the specialist subject areas, and to provide our students with the skills needed to progress into employment, further training and higher education according to their individual abilities, aptitudes and ambitions.
