Year 9s Public Speaking Team Pipped at the Post!
Last night three Year 9 students represented the school at the annual Rotary Youth Speaks competition at the Guildhall.
The students were:
- Isla (chair)
- Marysia (speaker)
- Maya (proposer of the vote of thanks)
After a sterling performance on a weighty issue, sadly St Peter’s missed out on the top place by half a point! However, as a nice consolation prize, Marysia took away the individual award for best speech, with her relentlessly logical approach to a serious issue standing out among some highly polished entries.
Congratulations to all three students for taking part!
